About Sarah Horn, Hawke’s Bay Photographer
My background as a photographer goes back some twenty years and crosses the disciplines of commercial, art and portrait photography, each genre influencing and enlightening the other. This experience and versatility enables me to approach any brief with creative flair and technical finesse.
While working as a professional photographer I have achieved formal academic qualifications with a Degree in Visual Art and Design, winning the top research prize, and most recently a Post Graduate Diploma in Visual and Material Culture, which I passed with distinction. This latter field of study integrally links the photograph within contemporary culture and acknowledges its influences on society at large.
My work features in publications such as Homestyle, Your Home & Garden, NZ House & Garden and Mind Food.
A perfectionist by nature, I bring a fresh, natural and uncontrived approach to my work. I have an eye for detail and the ability to make people feel comfortable in the presence of the camera.
